Q. How did you come to realise you needed a telecare system? 

“My children suggested it after I suffered a couple of falls at home. The telecare system meant I could always call for help even if there wasn’t a phone in reach.”

Q. Which telecare systems did you choose and why? What requirements did you have?

“I went for the Digital Watch as it is unobtrusive to wear indoors and out. It is very easy to use and charge and looks a little like a smart watch. The watch can be used anywhere, not just at home. It has also been very useful to measure my heart rate when I was suffering with some dizzy spells.”

I could speak to them through my watch, and they arranged to contact my family and arrange for an ambulance. They took care of everything so that I didn’t need to worry. It was also reassuring to have a caring voice at the push of a button as I lived on my own.”

Q. How has this device impacted your life? 

“Having the watch always on me has given me more self-confidence to go out, especially as my mobility has started to decline and my balance has become worse. I am reassured that help is at hand 24/7.
