This device, which comes with an integral ‘panic button’ is really easy to use and is simply worn around the neck with a lanyard. Comfortable and smart looking it automatically raises an alert if it senses that the user has fallen and also enables the wearer to call for help by pressing the button. The falls detector can give confidence to anyone at risk of slips, trips or falls such as people with limited mobility, older people and people with long term conditions such as epilepsy, diabetes and Parkinson’s disease.
This base unit runs on the cellular network and therefore does not require a landline and is fully Digital Switchover compatible.
If you require extra falls detectors, they must be for someone at the same address.
[Note: The fall detection technology does not allow analysis and interpretation of all fall situations. Soft falls, slumping falls, and descent-controlled falls against a wall or a chair are not detected. Despite its algorithm capabilities and the technology used, not all falls can be detected. This is the reason why the manual trigger remains vital for the user]
